Today is the last School Day of February!

March already!  The school year is moving along swiftly and steadily! Things to look forward to in March:

• Board of Education Meeting  Monday, March 2nd at the High School
• Early Release Day Wednesday, March 4th-DC Dismissal at 11:30 am

Badger Exam 3-8

March 30th, 2015 begins the testing window for the Badger Exam 3-8.  This assessment serves the role of the WKCE from previous years.  All students will be tested in areas of math and English language arts.  Though our testing window at DC will not begin until after Spring Break, classrooms will be implementing sample questions and practice tests to get students acclimated to what the computer based online exam will look like.  For more information on the Badger Exam 3-8 please visit: http://oea.dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/oea/pdf/Badger%20brochure_%20families.pdf

Updates

Thanks to all who participated in our DC Parental Advisory Council Tuesday Night. All are welcome!  We would love to see more of our parents.

Thanks also to those parents who completed the Parent Survey.  We will  have the drawing March 1st so there is still time to turn in your paper surveys from the take home two weeks ago or complete the survey online from the DC website.

Early Release Reminders: On early release days school dismisses at 11:30.  Staff members have professional development responsibilities on these days so it is important for student safety that they are picked up in a timely manner. Families who wish to  participate in the Beyond the Bell program must have their forms in by the Monday prior to the early release day.

There is no school next Thursday and Friday for the Mid-Winter Break. Check your district calendars for details.
