Happy Holidays!

We are just a few days from our Holiday Break!  Thanks to Ms. Lewis and our Band and Choir students for an outstanding performance at last Thursday's Holiday Concert.  Thanks to all the parents and families who turned out to make it an outstanding event!!

As we move toward the Holiday Break we want to remember that teaching and learning continues to go on each day.  Continued thanks in bringing your students to school on time and ready to learn!

The Holiday Break begins on Monday, December 22nd.   School resumes on Monday, January 5th.  Please take a moment (if you have one!) during this time to complete our parent survey found on the DC web page at: http://www.stfrancisschools.org/schools/deercreek/  We still need upwards of 30 surveys completed so we can continue our work in school improvement and district accreditation.  Thanks to all who have completed the survey so far!!

Enjoy a safe and happy time with family and friends.  May all of your dreams for the remainder of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 come true!

Moving into November

Thanks to students and staff who participated in our UNITY DAY anti-bullying activities on Wednesday.  Orange was everywhere as we continue our efforts to increase awareness surrounding bully prevention.

As we move into November we begin the WKCE testing window.  4th and 8th graders will be tested in the areas of Science and Social Studies.  This is the first year that Wisconsin Schools will be utilizing the SMARTER BALANCED assessment for literacy and math which will take place in the spring.

Quarter one will close on November 3rd.  Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on November 12th and 19th.  Please join us at conferences.  Home/School communication is essential in providing the best possible educational experience for our students!

The November Newsletter will be sent with the take homes on November 5th and will also be posted on the website.
