IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE

Due to our elongated cold weather break, some important rescheduling of events has had to occur.

The DEER CREEK PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING will be held on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15th at 5:30 pm instead of Tuesday, January 14th at 5:30 pm.  The location will remain in the Deer Creek Library.  Apologies in advance for any inconvenience.  If you are unable to attend but wish to discuss any matters pertinent to our PAC I will schedule personal time with anyone at their convenience.  A School Messenger will go out as a reminder and the date change will also be noted in our Take Home being sent home on Friday this week.
This weeks take home will be sent with students on Friday, January 10th due to the cold weather days.  If you do not receive a take home or it gets lost in a backpack, take home information is available on this blog as well as under the Principal's Note heading on our home page located on the right hand side underneath the calendar.
Welcome back from a long and cold holiday break!  I would like to thank all of the students and families for their holiday wishes, gifts, and treats!!

As the thermometer continues to remind us, it is COLD!  We hold recess indoors any time the temperature is below +10 degrees, but it is still essential to make sure our kids have warm clothes, boots, hats, gloves, etc for drop off and dismissal times.  We also must have fire drills each month of the year and though we try to schedule them on the warmest days possible the forecast tells us it will continue to be COLD!

January 23rd marks the end of semester one.  I encourage students, parents, and families to review Powerschool and communicate with their teachers to ensure the best performance possible for quarter 2 and semester 1.
